Are there refunds for registration? Is switching to another race allowed?
There are no refunds, cancellations, or deferrals to future years. We do allow people who are registered for the Half Marathon or Relay to switch to the 5K. This must be done before on-line registration closes.
If you transfer your registration to someone else and do not clear it through race officials, you are disqualified and not included in race results or age group awards.
How long is the Half Marathon course open?
The Half Marathon course will be open for 4 hours (until 11:15am).
Is there a cap on the number of participants?
The Half Marathon and Relay has a cap of 650 total participants. There is no cap on the 5K event.
Do I have to return my timing chip?
No. The chip is disposable and will be located on the back of the race number bib. It must be worn through the start and finish of the race in order to provide accurate timing results.
Is the course hilly?
No, the course is about as flat as a smoothly cut piece of cheddar on your cheese and sausage platter.
Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are allowed in the 5K only. Please be respectful of the runners around you by starting toward the back.
Does the race provide transportation for relay runners?
Yes. Bus transportation is provided for Relay Runners #2 from Hilbert to the exchange zone in Forest Junction. Then, bus transportation is provided for Relay Runners #1 from Forest Junction to Hilbert. Make sure to check in your relay team with the bus driver before 7:00 AM.
Where do people park for the event?
Simply drive to Main Street in Hilbert, and you will be directed to park by Fire Department volunteers.
How many water stations are on the course?
Participants will pass a water station 2 times on the 5K course. Participants will pass a water station 7 times on the Half Marathon course. Refer to the course map for locations.
How many porta-pots are on the course?
Participants will pass a porta-pot 3 times on the 5K course. Participants will pass a porta-pot 6 times on the Half Marathon course. Refer to the course map for locations.
Will photos be taken of participants during the event?
Yes, there will be professional photographers on the 5K and Half Marathon courses and at the finish line randomly taking photos of participants. There is no guarantee that your photo will be taken. All photos will be available for viewing and complimentary downloading on our website after race day.
Where do participants find the beer?
Da Wisconsin craft beer will be located under the tent that houses the Gourmet Finish Line Feast. Must be 21 years of age. Belly up to da bar and tell your friends what a gem of a race this is!
